Jason and I just got back from a week long visit with his family in Georgia. We had a great time and got to see most everyone. It's bittersweet, though, as it's nice to be back home yet we miss everyone already. If only we could somehow cut that 9 hour drive in half, it would be so much easier on us all.
I don't have any updates to share, other than we should be getting our home study report (draft copy) next week to look over, then we take an adoption class on January 14th - and we should be approved to adopt. Exciting times!!
As for New Year's Eve...since we just got back from a tiring drive all day we are going to stay home this year. It's kind of weird as we are usually doing something with others on a night like tonight; but this year it's nice as I'm with the one I love (and my dog Dante of course), and this just might be the very last New Year's Eve we have as a couple together without a child. I hope this is true. :-)
